Have you ever felt overwhelmed with negative thoughts of worry, images of failure and feelings of shame? If you have, you’re not alone. Many people have and are going through this right now and it’s not a fun place to be. So, how does one deal with these negative thoughts, images and feelings? One major way is to GIVE THANKS! Now I know it seems oversimplified and irrelevant to what you may be going through, but it is not. It’s EXTREMELY RELVEANT and a MAJOR KEY to your breakthrough and life of sunshine on the other side of your circumstance.

We live in a world that loves things to be done quickly. We love short turn around times. Well, I have good news for you. When you give thanks you instantly guard your heart from negative thoughts, images and feelings. The vocal release of thanksgiving and praise to our heavenly Father quickly releases positive thoughts and happy emotions. The hope and joy that comes overwhelms every other emotion. This is why the devil doesn’t want you to rejoice and give thanks. He wants you to be a negative Nancy and gripe about everything. Nevertheless, God’s strategy of thanksgiving will keep you upbeat in a downbeat world. Here are a few things you can and should thank God for:

  1. Thank God that He is your ABBA, Father. Beloved, God has adopted you into His family. You are one of His beloved children.

  2. Thank God that He has prepared ABUNDANCE for you. This whole world belongs to God and because you’re His heir, it belongs to you also. There’s a lot of stuff He wants to give you and will give you during your lifetime.

  3. Thank God that He has ACCEPTED you in The Beloved. God has favored you and received you just like He favors and receives the Lord Jesus Christ.

  4. Thank God that you have ACCESS to Him. You have been given the eternal right and privilege to freely approach the Lord of heaven and of earth. This is why the Bible says, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace….”(Hebrews 4:16)

  5. Thank God that you are ALIVE in Him. You were once dead in your trespasses and sins, but God gave you eternal life and made you alive in Him.

  6. Thank God that He gives His ANGELS charge over you. We live in a dangerous world, but God has solved that problem by giving you divine escorts everywhere you go. Therefore, you can live fear free as you go about your daily life.

  7. Thank God that you have been given AUTHORITY over Satan and demons. The Father gave Jesus all authority in heaven and in earth and Jesus passed that authority down to you. This is why the Bible says,“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
