How To Stop Going In Circles

If you’re like me, there are times in your life you may have felt like you are going in circles. This means you felt like you are wasting time and not achieving anything because you keep coming back to the same point or problem. Here’s 2 keys to help you out of your rut:

1. Stop putting up with things you don’t want. Just recently I fired the graphic design company our church was using for a couple of years. They designed our website and the graphics we’d use for announcements and social media. They were pretty good, but things started to not measure up to what I thought was excellent service. So, I fired them. I stopped putting up with something I didn’t want. If you want to get out of your rut, you’ll have to fire some things. You’ll have to bring somethings to a closure. Sometimes it’s ending a non-productive relationship, putting a stop to a bad habit or changing a wrong pattern of thinking. The results? You’ll be happier, you’ll stop making excuses and you’ll get more done.

2. Seek the Lord for direction. This is one your flesh will fight. The carnal mind doesn’t want to seek the Lord for direction. Let’s admit it. Sometimes we want to do things “our” way. However, doing things our way is not going to stop us from going in circles. Jesus has our answer. He will deliver us from wasting energy and precious time. We’ve got to TRUST the Lord with our lives. Look at what the Bible says:

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

Are you ready to trust Jesus with all of your heart? Will you seek His will for your life and let Him show you the path to take? When you’re ready, He’ll be waiting. 😊😎
