Jesus wants me to remind you that freedom is yours! When God made Adam and Eve, He blessed them and gave them dominion. You were originally created to never be ruled over. However, because of sin, the world was brought into bondage. All that changed once Jesus died and rose to eternal life. He paid for your freedom with His body and His blood. A freedom that came with great benefits. I list three of the benefits below. Let’s take a closer look:
1. Master over your circumstances. With the freedom of Christ came the authority of Christ. Christ’s freedom gives you the ability and mindset not to accept things the way they are. Some circumstances feel overwhelming. Some seem like they have no end in sight. No matter the negative situation, you don’t have to accept it. Jesus on many occasions changed circumstances with faith, words and action. Like Jesus, you are destined to rule your life and only accept God’s best.
2. Master over mental diseases. No matter the mental condition. No matter your family history. You will live mental disease free. Some of the biggest enemies of our day is depression, Alzheimer’s, anxiety, etc. As I’m writing, this scripture came to my spirit, “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.” (Psalm 2:4) The Lord wants us to laugh at our enemies. Never be intimidated or moved by mental disorders. You are free in Christ and your mind is blessed.
3. Master over fear. Fear is a slave master. It’s goal is to keep you under control so that you do not live the life you were destined to live. During the time Saul was king, he faced a very powerful enemy, Goliath. The Bible says he faced him for many days because he was afraid. Sometimes, we are dealing with things for a along time because we are afraid to confront. However, when David arrived on the scene, he confronted Goliath and defeated him. That victory thrust him further and faster into God’s plan for his life. What takes some 5 or 10 years to achieve, David did it in a short time because he lived free of fear.
You are free. Free to reject the troubles of the world. You are free to live with a blessed mind. You are free to live bold and courageous. I want you to take these words to heart and declare that you are not in bondage to anyone or anything. You were not made to be ruled over. You have been born again for dominion and victory over life. Freedom is yours. Freedom is a must!
