Seven times in the book of Revelation, Jesus says, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Today, I believe the Holy Spirit is saying to Winners Church, “I am restoring broken relationships.”
We serve a God of relationships and they are one of His top priorities for His children. The Father designed human connections to help us thrive and succeed in life. According to dictionary.com, the word restore means, “to bring back to a normal condition, to reestablish or make restitution.” This year your personal friendships are coming back to its normal condition. Your marriages and love life are being reestablished as if there was no trouble. Even parents and children are getting restitution for the joy and precious moments that have been lost.
The Lord says, “Just like the body has been designed to heal itself through healthy nutrition, so I have designed relationships to be healed through My word.” After I heard these words, the Lord begin to show me through His word how He is restoring broken relationships. Let’s take a closer look:
1. Personal Friendship
“Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”(Matthew 5:23-24) Though this scripture mentions brother, God is applying this principal to your friendships. He’s giving grace to you and your friends to say sorry where it needs to be said. Grace to reconnect with friends you haven’t spoken to in a long time. You’re going to feel this ease and comfort to have heavy conversations. You’ll reconnect with each other on a deeper level. Once the restoration takes place, the enemy of your soul won’t be able to break your newly restored fellowship.
2. Your Marriages
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24) Disunity, discords and ungodly disagreements are coming to an end in Jesus’ name. The Holy Spirit is leading your marriages into oneness resulting in strong partnerships. Your marriages were never designed to fail. They were created to be one unit standing strong in God’s plan. “Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12) The Lord says, “Because you are one you will move swiftly together.” My prayer is that you will encourage and uplift your spouse. Never see them as your competition or a threat. I declare healthy marriages and healthy homes.
3. Parents and Children
“He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17) The Holy Spirit is visiting your homes to turn the hearts of parents and children toward each other. There is a grace to listen and understand one another. There is a grace to support one another. Your homes are being filled with God’s love to build each other up. Yes! Parents encouraging children telling them they can do it. Children exhorting parents telling them they can do it. Praying for one another. Being there for one another. My prayer is that you will allow nothing to come between you and God’s plan for your family.
We are in a remarkable season and it’s just the beginning. Therefore, get ready for a swift change in your life and homes. Get ready for the next three months to be better than the month of February. Later on in the year, you will remember how far you have come. You will see all that Jesus has done for you. Your life will not be the same by the end of the year. God bless you. The Lord is with you!
