I know that some of you feel frustrated. Some of you feel like, “I can’t take this anymore.” Some of you feel like, “Something has to break.” Jesus knows how you feel. As the Scripture says, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15) In other words, Jesus knows exactly how it feels to be human. He understands what’s it’s like to feel frustrated, annoyed and desperate for change.
1. Something broke for Blind Bartimaeus when he CRIED OUT to Jesus for change. He said, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” He didn’t want to be blind anymore. And by his faith in the mercy of Jesus, He was no longer blind. The Bible says, “And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.” Whatever it is you don’t want to be anymore, cry out to Jesus and He will deliver you. He will set you free.
2. Something broke for the woman with the issue of blood when she positively CONFESSED change. She said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Guess what happened? She touched him in faith and “Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.” Here’s the principle: What you confess, you possess. If you want change, constantly speak change and breakthrough will come.
3. Something broke for Peter when he CARRIED OUT Jesus’ instruction. Jesus sympathized with Peter and his fishing partners who fished all night and caught nothing. So, He gave him an instruction for breakthrough. Peter and his crew followed that instruction. The result? The Bible says, “And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.” If you want to WIN THE DAY, you’ve got to do what Jesus tells you to do. I love something Mike Murdock said, “You create a season of success every time you complete an instruction from God.” Are you ready for your season of success? Are you ready for something to break? I think you are. Let’s do this!
