You…THE ICON!
Believe it or not, you are an icon! You were born an icon. Can you imagine what it was like for Adam to be literally handcrafted by Almighty God and then have life breathed into him? When his eyes opened, he was totally God conscious and a creation like no other. That’s mesmerizing! As sons and daughters of Adam, you too have been hand crafted by the Father and given the breath of life. Your existence is just as mesmerizing as the first man, Adam. The Message Bible calls you, "THE GOD-CREATED!" I love that!
In comparison to the greatness and vastness of God’s creation, David asked, "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?" (Psalm 8:4). He came back with this revelation: "For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor" (vs. 5). In other words, man is an icon that’s greater than the moon and the stars, greater than the animal kingdom and greater than any other created thing. This includes angels. Paul said, "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14). Notice he says ALL of them are here to serve YOU - the inheritor of salvation. We can now safely conclude that your salvation makes you ICONIC! Woooow!
This means some monumental things:
1. You are a superstar in the eyes of God.
There’s a richness in you that the Father and the host of Heaven sees. His opinion of you is stellar and what He has done in you is beyond anything you can imagine. This is why the Bible says, "BEHOLD" over and over again. It’s time for YOU to see what God sees in you and how He sees it.
2. You will not bow to circumstances that are not pleasing to you.
For too long, people have seen themselves as victims of circumstances. No, you are the creator of circumstances. You decide how your life will be. You decide what you will and will not do. You get to CHOOSE!
If something no longer serves you or pleases you, get rid of it! Stop suffering needlessly! I know this may sound strange to the hearing of the ear and the seeing of the eye. But it’s time to wake up out of your slumber as a person of DOMINION!
David continued his revelation of man’s iconic state in Psalm 8 saying, "You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet" (Psalm 8:6).
Uh oh! Sounds like the devil and his demons just lost some ground concerning you. Did David just say, "You have put ALL THINGS under his feet?" He sure did! Then nuff said! It’s time to WIN and create pleasurable circumstances as an act of your OWN will! Let’s gooooo!!!!
3. You hold significant importance in the world today and whatever industry you work in.
You were born to be showcased. Didn’t Jesus say, "Let your light so shine BEFORE MEN?" Hello somebody! Let 2024 be the year you manifest your ICONIC self! Be the best version of yourself you can be. Don’t shrink back! Don’t hold back! 2024 is yours!
