Stand Your Ground!
Last week Pastor Fabienne text me her healing testimony that really blessed me and reminded of the importance of not just having others pray for you, but STANDING YOUR GROUND! Here’s her testimony:
“Good morning Pastor, wanted to say thank you because you are a wonderful pastor. Under your ministry, I’ve had 3 impactful healings. I wanted to let you know about this particular healing that happened recently. I used to have pain on my side that would come and go at night for a couple of years. It never bothered me during the day, but mostly at night when I was sleeping. I was tired of praying about it.
“Last year, I heard Jesus say to me, ‘Ask Pastor Maurice to pray for you.’ So, during the summer, in one of our preaching sessions, I asked you to pray over the right side of my abdomen. After you prayed, the pain continued at night for a couple of weeks. Every time the pain would come, I would think to myself, ‘Why is the pain here because pastor prayed for me?’ So as a result, when the pain came, I would say to myself, ‘Pastor Maurice already prayed for me and I believe that I am healed. The Word says you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Therefore, pain you have to go because according to God’s Word I am healed because Pastor Maurice laid hands on me. Thank You Lord Jesus for my healing.’
“I kept repeating this every time the pain came. So today, I stand completely pain free. The pain has been gone for a couple of months now. No more! Thank you for being a pastor who is vigilant against sickness and disease. We are blessed to be under your ministry. May the Lord continue to bless you and give you favor. Love you Pastor.”
What an amazing testimony! Thank you Pastor Fabienne for sharing it with me and now it’s a testimony helping all who read this email. Here’s the lesson: STAND YOUR GROUND!
But not just with healing. Stand your ground for ANYTHING the Lord has promised you. I love something the apostle Peter says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness…” (2 Peter 3:9). In context, Peter is talking about to second coming of Christ. But this can be used for any promise He has given you. The word slack means “negligent in performing or doing.” God is not lazy or slow. As the old school saints say, “He’s right on time!”
If God promised you something, your job is to trust Him to bring it to pass. Your job is to believe you received. Leave the time of manifestation to Him. Just STAND YOUR GROUND! This is your year of momentum! This is your year of the maximum - the highest level attainable. Expect the next six months to be the best six months of your life. All things are possible!
