Time Is On Your Side
In a busy and fast paced world, the Lord wants you to know that time is on your side. God the Father who is the maker of time, seasons and ages has given you the favor to cause time to work in your support.
The scriptures says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” The all things that are stated in this verse includes time. In addition, 1 Corinthians 3:22 says, “Whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—ALL ARE YOURS.” So, time is working for your good and it belongs to you.
Seeing that the hour, days and future have been created for you and are yours, what should you do next? Let me show you 3 things you can do:
1. Redeem the time.
Ephesians 5:16-17 - "16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is."
The word redeem in this verse comes from the Greek word exagorazō and it means "to buy up, to rescue from loss (improve opportunity)." How do you redeem the time? You do it by KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING what God’s will is and apply it to your life. You can know God’s plan for your life by simply reading and meditating on His word daily, attending Winners Church and in your personal prayer time asking Him what His will is for your life. Once you know His will, do it. This will give you the opportunity to do the most and the best with your time.
2. Live in the mindset of the age of grace.
Luke 4:18-19 (AMPC) - “18 The Spirit of the Lord upon Me… 19 to proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound].”
There are too many believers who are living opposite of what God is proclaiming. This is done by not believing God is accepting them or thinking the Father is still mad at the world. This is far from the truth. God is NOT ANGRY with the world, He’s ACCEPTED the world through the Cross and is calling the world to Him. In addition, God is accepting you daily.
This is why He invites you to the throne of grace and wants you to come boldly. Never allow anything to get in the way of you and the Father’s love. He wants you to be well informed about His great love for you and live from the wellspring of His love.
3. Reject premature death!
Psalm 91:14-16 - “14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 WITH LONG LIFE I WILL SATISFY HIM, and show him My salvation.”
Death means your time on this earth is finished and you will enter the eternal age. Though this is an event that will happen to us all, it does not have to happen before the set time God has planned for you. As stated in the previous point, when you become acquainted with the love of God, it’s natural that you will love Him or set your love on Him. Because you have set your love on Him, He has promised the satisfaction and enjoyment of long life. Therefore, reject dying early like the credit card companies reject bad credit and expect to live long and strong!
I want to leave you with this, you are not like the world. So, do not think and live as the world does as it relates to time. God has caused time to be on your side and by His great love your moments and days will be filled with highs and wins.
