God Is Pushing You Forward
On Tuesday morning of this week, I was in prayer and worship. During that prayer and worship time, I began to thank and praise God for “pushing me forward.” Those words caught my attention and out my heart I said, “That’s my article for Friday.” So, here it is — God is pushing you forward.
I don’t care how much the devil is trying to push you backward or keep you in a holding pattern. You will not go backwards or live your life going in circles. You will not abandon your dreams and give up on the good life Jesus has for you. You’re going to advance, increase and make headway in your life like never before.
Pushing You Into Greatness
The Bible says “Now we, brethren, AS ISAAC WAS, are children of promise (Genesis 4:28). You are a child of promise just like Isaac. Therefore, whatever good happened to Isaac should be happening in your life. The question is, what good happened in Isaac’s life? Many good things happened to him. One of the good things that he experienced is that he became a very wealthy man. Look at what the Bible says about him in Genesis 26:13 (KJV):
“And the man waxed great, and WENT FORWARD, and grew until he became very great.”
I believe that just like Isaac became great and went forward until he became very great, you are also graced to become great and go forward until you become very great. What happened for Isaac will happen for you because you are a child of promise. The same blessing that was on Isaac is on you. Greatness is your birthright. Don’t settle for anything less. Expect to go forward in Jesus’ name!
No More Holding Back
As I think of other people in the Bible that God pushed forward, I think of Moses. The Bible actually says that God advanced him and his brother Aaron:
“And Samuel said unto the people, It is the Lord that ADVANCED Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.” - 1 Samuel 12:6, KJV
It was God at work actually pushing Moses out of shame, insecurity and a dead end life. He pushed him forward and used him to deliver His people out of bondage. This is what the Lord is doing for you right now. He’s pushing you forward out of the things that hold you back. He’s crushing self-doubt and the fear of failure out of your life. He’s creating circumstances to make you significant and successful. He’s lifting you up to be a Who’s Who of your industry. Fasten your seatbelt. The Lord is advancing you and you’re on your way to the top!
Embrace & Engage
Here’s what happens more often than not. People don’t recognize His pushing or they resist Him pushing them forward. Please don’t be that person. I encourage you to acknowledge, thank and praise God for pushing you forward like I did early Tuesday morning. Don’t hold yourself back from greatness by resisting God’s push. Embrace it and engage the process. In the end, you’ll be glad you did.
