Love, the Way to Victory

Love, the Way to Victory

A few years ago, I read Kenneth E. Hagin's book titled, "Love the Way to Victory," which chronicles his life and emphasizes the power of forgiveness and walking in love despite adversity. Brother Hagin highlighted the contrast between the flesh, which tends towards fault-finding, revenge, and self-focused. While being spiritually minded is love oriented, kindness guided and Christ-focused.

Love, according to the Bible, is not merely a feeling or an emotion; it's a way of life. In addition, it’s a commandment and a principle that governs all aspects of human interaction. The Bible teaches that love is the foundation of everything and it is the essence of God Himself. Love is the very reason why the world has the opportunity to receive salvation. In John 3:16, it says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Today, if you feel unloved or down, know that God loves you and has the answer to any challenge you face. Seek God, pray, worship Him and He will help you.

God Loves You

Ultimately, God’s love for you is unconditional. It is not based on your actions. God’s sacrificial love for us is found in the person of Jesus Christ, demonstrated through His death on the Cross. Today, you can live freely, enjoy a blessed life, full of favor, full of faith and adventure. We know that as followers of Christ, Christians are called to intimacy with God and to walk in love. Walking in love is demonstrated by extending grace and forgiveness toward others. Remember, that your faith works by your love walk.

Love Your Brother

As we are about to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus, lets prioritize loving one another. The Bible says that in 1 Corinthians 3:14, “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.” There are many ways, we can demonstrate the love of God to those around us, they’re listed below:

1. Practice empathy and compassion: Be empathetic to those around you, and show kindness even to those who don’t deserve it, just as Jesus did.

2. Forgive freely: Let go of grudges and resentments, forgiving others as Jesus forgave us.

3. Serve selflessly: Seek opportunities to serve in your church as well as others without expecting anything in return, mirroring Jesus' example of selfless service.

4. Be patient and understanding: Exercise patience and understanding in interactions with others, demonstrating the patience that Jesus showed to those around Him.

5. Show unconditional love: Seek ways to love others regardless of their beliefs, or actions and pray for them just as Jesus loved you unconditionally.
