Faith Works Wonders

I was in worship early yesterday morning and I thought to myself “What am I going to write about for this Friday?” Suddenly, these words flashed in my spirit, “Faith works wonders.” I jumped up from my bed, grabbed my iPhone and began to write down in my notes what the Holy Spirit was spotlighting about faith. Do you realize that you have the power of faith on the inside of you? Wouldn’t you like to see your faith work wonders in your life? The good news is you can and you will.

1. Faith worked wonders in the life of the woman with the issue of blood.
She was in a serious physical predicament, but her faith in the power of Jesus Christ brought her out of her 12 year predicament. She was made free by faith. Jesus Himself gave her faith the credit when He said to her, “Daughter, YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WELL. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34).

2. Faith worked wonders for the crippled man from Lystra.
The Bible says there was a man from Lystra (a city in modern day Turkey) who was born crippled and never walked a day of his life. He was listening to the apostle Paul preach the gospel and his faith was supernaturally stirred. The Bible actually says that Paul was looking at the man intently and saw that, “…he had FAITH TO BE HEALED” (Acts 14:9). So, Paul commanded the man to stand up on his feet. You already know what happened. The man “…leaped and walked” (Acts 14:10) and the whole crowd went wild. What happened? His faith worked wonders in his life.

In the same way, your faith will work wonders in your life. Get ready for favor, breakthrough and divine surprises. This is your time to experience the extraordinary like never before. Jesus said to a religious Jewish man once, in the face of bad news, “Do not be afraid; only believe” (Mark 5:36).

This is what Jesus is saying to you today, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” He understands the negative power of fear and the positive power of faith. Fear will stop the extraordinary from happening in your life, but faith will make it happen. As you release your faith throughout this year, you’re going to see everything you need and want manifesting right before your eyes. Only believe!
