Soaring with the Eagles - Pt. 2
Did you know that flying high in life is your birthright as a human being and as a child of God? In other words, you were BORN TO SOAR! If you’ve been soaring, keep flying high. If you haven’t, it’s time to ascend.
Today, I’m going to share with you three things I’ve noticed that keeps people from rising and living the ascended life:
1. Living life vicariously through others.
You’ve probably noticed that there’s a lot of people who want a big life, but refuse to actually live a big life. They observe what others are doing and rejoice in their adventures without having those experiences themselves. This kind of behavior is called vicarious living and it will keep you from soaring with the eagles.
I remember on the morning of July 29, 2019, I had a dream of myself considering, “What am I going to say on Facebook this morning?” Suddenly, I heard the voice of God. In authoritative tone He said, “Life is to be lived and not looked at!” What a mind-blowing statement! The Lord was “stirring the nest” so to speak. He didn’t want me to continue to spend so much time looking at social media and the lives of others without living my own adventurous life.
If you’re living an amazing life, congratulations! Keep going! However, if you’re like I was, looking at life and not living it, it’s time to make a change. I’m inviting you to scale a new peak and live a life of adventure. It’s time to soar!
2. Not focusing enough on what’s your own.
I remember the Lord spoke to me on another occasion and said something that I subconsciously knew, but consciously denied. He said, “You’re not focused enough on that which is your own.” That hit me! Sometimes, we’re focused on everything else besides what we’re supposed to be focused on in our own lives.
Come to think of it, eagles are not like that. When they are going after their prey, they are super focused on what they need and want to get. I encourage you to be like the eagle in this next season of your life. Be super focused on your dreams and goals. 2022 is not over and 2023 is fast approaching. Get what you need and want in Jesus’ name.
3. Wanting someone to do it for them.
Believe it or not, your success is not going to happen at the hands of others. No one can soar for you. You have to do that on your own. You have to spread your own wings.
As I was writing this, I fell asleep for a few minutes and I woke up from a prophetic dream the Lord gave me concerning this. I saw myself get on my elevator with someone and I asked them to push the 12th floor button for me. In this dream that took place, the button didn’t light up. The person kept pushing it and it didn’t light up. Suddenly, I woke up.
What was the Lord showing me? This is how life is. Things will “light up” in your life when YOU push the button. You will go to the “top floor” of life when you stop waiting on others to do it for you.
These are just a few things I’ve observed over my lifetime that keeps people from soaring with the eagles. I encourage you to make the necessary changes and fly high!
