Soaring with the Eagles - Pt. 1
I woke up with this word from the Lord. He wants you to soar with the eagles. He wants you to FLY HIGH! There is no middle ground with God. Your either flying or you’re not. Why does God want you to soar with the eagles? Simple. That’s what you were CREATED for! When God made you, He never intended for you to be hanging around chickens laying your honor in the dust. He created you to live on the mountain top, not wander in the valley.
Why do you think human beings love high rises and despise dungeons? You were never created to live underground without sky and sunlight. Truth be told, you couldn’t put me in a dungeon or in some underground facility. I don’t care how nice it is. I used to live in a basement apt and once I left there I said, “I’ll never live in a basement apartment again.” And I haven’t. I need sunlight and windows. I love living ABOVE GROUND. Come on somebody! You feel me? No shade if you live in a basement apt. It’s just not for me.
The Soaring King
So, who in the Bible soared with the eagles? The first person that comes to mind is King David. He was a man after God’s own heart. He was a man of God’s presence. This is the FIRST STEP to soaring with the eagles. You must be a person of God’s own heart. A man or woman of God’s presence. I don’t care how many kids you have, how much responsibility you have at work or in your business. You must take time out for God’s presence. He must be your FIRST priority. Sing to Him, worship Him, read His Word and pour your heart out to Him in prayer. He longs to hear from you and talk with you. Presence-based believers always soar in life.
Wisdom Is Where It’s At
Secondly, be a person of wisdom. A lot of people, including myself, have underestimated the POWER OF WISDOM! Look at what the Bible says about wisdom,
“She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet.” - Proverbs 8:2
What is wisdom? In short, wisdom is simply knowing HOW to do stuff. It’s the proper application of knowledge. Notice the Bible says wisdom takes her stand on the top of the HIGH HILL! I love how the Voice translation puts it,
“She’s taken her stand at the highest place in the city, at the crossroads where everyone can see her.”
Notice that everyone can see her. This means, no one has excuses for not having wisdom. She’s available to EVERYONE! Everybody can fly high if they get WIDSOM. Everyone can take their stand at the highest place in the city. Don’t let low land living keep you from soaring with the eagles. Please keep yourself from joining the chicken crowd who constantly says, “I don’t know what to do.” Yet, they made little or no effort to find out what to do.
No Laziness Allowed
You cannot be lazy in your pursuit of wisdom. You have to read. You have to ask questions. You have to ponder and, ABOVE ALL, you have to take ACTION. As Tony Robbins says, “MASSIVE ACTION!” Isn’t that what David did over and over again? Yes it is! This is why he soared with the eagles.
My friend, my brother, my sister, I encourage YOU to soar with the eagles and be who God intended for you to be. God bless you, enrich you and fill you with eagle-soaring wisdom. As Bishop Jakes would say, “Get ready, get ready, get ready!” Get ready for what? Get ready to ASCEND! Your vision is about to take off! You’re about to make smart money moves that will cause you to fly high financially. Your spiritual life is going to the next level. Everything about you is going to look different. Let’s goooo!!!!
