The Speed of His Will

The Speed of His will

Now that we are in a year of momentum, the next step is for us to move at the speed of His will. Within the will of God, there’s an expectation from God of what we should be doing and receiving at different intervals of our lives. Therefore, it is crucial for us to follow His plans. Following His plans will guarantee that we’re at the right place at the right time. It will assure us that we’ll meet the right ones. It will bring us into blessings and rewards. But how do we enter in to the speed of His will? The answer is humility, no second guessing and behaving wisely.

Humility
“And the humble He teaches His way” (Psalm 25:9). When we come to the Lord with humility, we are able to get understanding of His will. Once we understand, we have to remain humble and yield to what He wants for us. This a sure-fire way to get moving at His speed. The prodigal son was in a place of desperation until he humbled himself and understood it was better to be in his father's house than to be a beggar. He went from homelessness to being celebrated in an instant. As we walk in humility towards the Lord, He will cause things to happen for us instantly.

No Second Guessing
There was a man who had a paralytic condition for 38 years. His plan was to be healed at a pool that was located in Bethesda. At a certain time an angel stirred the pool and whoever jumped in first at the time of the stirring was healed. But everything change for this man once He met Jesus. When Jesus came to him, Jesus asked if he wanted to be made well. The man answered that he’s been trying to get healed once the pool has been stirred but had been unsuccessful. Jesus then says to Him, “…Rise, take up your bed and walk” (John 5:8). The man, heard the words of Jesus and did not second guess what he heard, but obeyed Him immediately and receive immediate results. Like this man, we should not doubt what we heard from the Holy Spirit. Instead, let's receive it quickly, obey it and get immediate results.

Behave Wisely
The term behave wisely comes from 1 Samuel 18:5, “So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved wisely.” If we study the life of David we'll learn that his actions got him promotion after promotion and victory after victory. He did no take his position given by God for granted or lightly. He had the insight that he was doing all things unto the Lord and acted with wisdom. Like David, we can behave wisely because we have the help of the Holy Spirit and the instructions of the word of God. We too will experience rapid promotions and advancement in God’s will.

We are living in an awesome time. My prayer for us is we see its value and live everyday to it’s fullest.
