Wake Up!

Wake Up!

It’s time to wake up! Wake up to the fact that you are awesome and amazing! Wake up to the fact that there’s great potential and possibility within you! Believe it or not, you are a living treasure chest.

I remember when I first woke up to my writing gift around 2006 and I wrote my first book, “Destiny Now!” that was published in 2007. I procrastinated on finishing it. I wanted it to be “perfect.” However, a friend encouraged me to finish the book and release what was inside of me. I did what he said and my sense of accomplishment was incredible! Since then, I’ve written and published two other books and hundreds of articles for many years. These books and articles have blessed the lives of people. The good news is that I’m not finished. There’s more books and articles to be written and more lives to be uplifted and changed.

The Daze of Fear

If you didn’t know it, fear will put you in a daze. This is why the Word of God says over and over again, “Do not fear!” God knows that fear puts people to sleep and cripples their progress.

“Fear is the source of ninety percent of the lack of progress and personal development in the lives of millions of gifted, talented, and resourceful individuals.” - Myles Munroe

So, confront and combat fear! Don’t let it have any place in your life. Don’t let it stop you from getting ahead. Shout 3x’s:

“I’m not afraid!”
“I’m not afraid!”
“I’m not afraid!”

Alert & Active 😳

When you wake up, it makes you ALERT and ACTIVE! Look at this prophetic admonition Isaiah gave to Israel:

“Wake up! Wake up! Clothe yourself with strength, Zion! Put on your beautiful clothes, holy city of Jerusalem. Godless and evil people will no longer come to you. Shake the dust from yourselves. Get up, captive Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains around your neck, captive people of Zion…”- Isaiah 52:1-2 (God’s Word Translation)

I see six things we can take from this prophetic admonition:

  1. Wake up! This means open your eyes and get up from your slumber in whatever area of your life it shows up in.

  2. Clothe yourself with strength. In other words, live your life with all your might. Give it all you got!

  3. Put on your beautiful clothes. You are God’s masterpiece. Remind yourself how beautiful, gifted and talented you are in Christ Jesus.

  4. Shake the dust from yourself. Let go off sinful habits that hinder your potential and impedes your progress.

  5. Get up. It’s time to rise and shine. Roll out of the bed of mediocrity and show the world your greatness.

  6. Free ourselves from the chains. Untie yourself and disengage from things that keep you sinking and slumping.
