So far this year, I’ve received $6,905 above my salary. In addition, I’ve received $2,000 from preaching opportunities. That brings the total to $8,905! Glory to God! This is the harvest that has come from faithfully tithing and sowing into Winners Church, other ministries, and other people’s lives.
Pastor Jeff recently experienced an incredible breakthrough in his employment. He went from working for Health & Hospitals to working for Yale University with literally double the salary!
But that’s not even the end of the story.
His testimony became even greater when he discovered that he’ll continue receiving full paychecks from Health & Hospitals through the end of August! He had over 300 unused sick days, and they’re paying him for them. He had no idea this was coming.
Wow! What a breakthrough! Isn’t that amazing?
The exciting news is this:
God is no respecter of persons. If He has done it—and is still doing it—for Pastor Jeff and me, He will do it for YOU!
Some of you already have amazing testimonies because you’ve honored God with your finances. Others are about to receive yours… if you keep tithing and sowing.
The tithe keeps the windows of heaven open over your life, but your offerings—your seed—help determine the size of the harvest that comes through those open windows.
Some people mistakenly think the tithe is their seed. It’s not. The tithe is what already belongs to God. In a sense, it’s like a kingdom tax. Throughout Scripture, God has always declared that there is something that belongs exclusively to Him. The tithe—10% of our increase—is His. It always has been, and it always will be.
Your offering, however, is your freewill seed. That’s what you voluntarily place into God’s hands, and it is that seed that produces a harvest in your life.
I want to challenge you to believe the words of the Apostle Paul:
“Remember this: If a farmer plants only a few seeds, he will not get much as a result. But if he plants plenty of seeds, he will get a big harvest.”
—2 Corinthians 9:6 (EASY)
I’ve noticed something in my own life: the larger my sowing becomes, the larger my harvest becomes. That’s why I’m going to keep sowing big and keep expecting big!
I believe that by the end of this year, my mind is going to be blown by the harvest that comes in over these next five months. It happened last year, and by the grace of God, I believe it will happen again this year!
To God be all the glory!
