Handpicked and Not Rejected
The world we live in has normalized rejection and cancellation. Two actions that can have traumatic long term effects on any person. However, through and by the Cross, everyone is chosen and accepted. In truth, we can say, because of His grace, no one is rejected but all are welcomed and loved. Here are some scriptures that can help us solidify this truth and strengthen our beliefs:
Accepted in the Beloved
“To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:6
Can you remember the time you applied for a school and were waiting for the acceptance letter? Do you remember what it felt like as you opened the letter or email? What about the time you were waiting for the call that would determine if your loan application was accepted for a new home? The feelings of waiting to know if you're approved or not can make anyone feel stressed. But, in Christ, we are not waiting for an answer. We have already been accepted and approved. The Lord loves and likes us by His grace. Understanding and believing this truth frees us from uncertainty. Everyday we should feel confident and live expecting good things from the throne of grace.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” 1 Peter 2:9
We are chosen, royal, holy and special. There’s so much to unpack here. But for the sake of the email, I will keep it brief. I want to encourage you on your own time to meditate on this scripture. Because we are not becoming these things - this is who we are in Christ. This is our identity and our spiritual DNA. Having this mindset gives us a larger than life personality. When feelings of rejection try to affect our soul, they will not prevail. In addition, this winning attitude has the ability to attract good things into our lives. So, endeavor to see yourself as chosen, royal, holy and special.
I want to leave you with some daily confessions. Declare this over your life and continue to renew your mind along these lines:
1. I am accepted by God in Christ.
2. I am chosen and handpick in Christ.
3. I am royalty, precious and valuable in Christ.
4. I am holy. I have a pure heart and mind in Christ.
5. I am special, important and relevant in Christ.
