Hello Beautiful!
In October of 2018, I was in Chicago for a dynamic conference. I stayed over the weekend for the host church’s Sunday morning worship services. Sitting in the back of an Uber, on my way to the church, I saw a big plywood billboard with the words, “You Are Beautiful.” Those words pierced my soul and I felt so good reading that in those 2 seconds.
What I found out is that this was a passion project started by Matthew Hoffman in 2002 that has turned into a positivity movement of community, collaborations and campaigns all around the world. Three little words one positive message.
The Apple of His Eye
Did you know that the Father is saying the same about you? You are beautiful in His sight. I’m going to say that again. You are beautiful in His sight. Let that sink in. You are, as David said, “the apple of His eye.” Don’t let the devil lie to you. God doesn’t see you as some ugly, dirty sinner whose not much to look at.
The truth is, you are God’s irreplaceable masterpiece whom He takes great pleasure in. You were made for His enjoyment and He gets “a kick” out of you. Even with your faults and imperfections, He celebrates you and smiles at the thought of you.
Take a Closer Look
As His beautiful one, the decks are not stacked up against you, they are stacked up for you. If you take a closer look, you’ll realize that good things have already happened to you. You can testify like David, "My share in life has been pleasant; my part has been beautiful” (Psalm 16:6, NCV).
You’ve already seen God provide for you and increase you financially. You’ve already encountered God’s healing power and observed pain, sickness and disease being driven from your body. You’ve had prophetic dreams that warned you or a loved one of impending danger. The Father has supernaturally protected you. Before now, you’ve experienced answered prayers and God opening doors of favor that you’ve walked through. I’m sure you’ll agree that’s just part of the story.
Keep taking a closer look and you’ll continue to see good things happening to you and you’ll keep testifying like David, “My share in life has been pleasant; my part has been beautiful.”
