Royalty Recognizes Royalty
One of the truths I love to worship the Father about is that He’s the “Majesty in the Heavens.” I love that title and description of Him. I, also, love to worship Jesus as the “King of kings and Lord of lords.” That title and description of Him thrills my soul. In other words, I love to worship God as royalty.
Magnificent Worship
The book of Revelation records that awesome visitation to Heaven the apostle John had. He is blown away by the majestic atmosphere and worship of God as royalty. Notice what He says,
And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” - Revelation 5:13
We serve a King on a throne who is worthy of our eternal love and adoration. The super good news is that this worthy King is also our Daddy and we are His children. This means that we, also, are royalty. We became royalty through the sacrifice of Jesus. Look at how Jesus is worshiped in Heaven and why:
9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” - Revelation 5:9-10
In verse 8, the Bible let’s us know that it’s the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders who are worshiping Jesus and singing this song to Him. They are worshipping Him for His sacrifice and the result of that sacrifice — redemption and royalty. They are recognizing that we were redeemed by the blood of Jesus and made royalty to God the Father. Isn’t that awesome? Isn’t that something to be excited about and worship Jesus for?
Now It’s Your Turn
Say this with me:
Lord Jesus, I recognize Your royalty. You are the King of glory and worthy to be worshipped. You were sacrificed for me. By Your blood, I’ve been redeemed to the Father. You, also, made me a king and priest to Him. Because of You, I’m redeemed royalty. For this reason, I praise and worship You.
Didn’t that feel good? I know it did. Your spirit man is rejoicing. Keep worshipping the Father and Jesus like this and your soul will live in the thrill of Heaven. Best of all, your environment will be invaded with Heaven’s majestic atmosphere.
