The Place of Extraordinary

The Place of Extraordinary

What is the place of extraordinary? It is a mindset or perspective where you see yourself as “beyond what is usual or regular.” Similar to how Abraham saw himself after his encounter with God. In Genesis 17:5-6,it reads, 5 "No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you." Abraham went from seeing himself as a regular father to a father of many nations. Let that settle in for a moment. Some might say, “That’s too much.” But God says, “It’s only the beginning of what I want to do with you.”

The Father’s Plan

It has always been the Father’s plan for you to be above only and not beneath. This truth was affirmed by Jesus in Matthew 5:14-15, when He said, 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” Notice the lamp is placed where it gives light to the entire house. This means you were meant to be seen, to be an example for others to follow. This is the life of one who is extraordinary. When you live from a place of being ordinary, you risk being overlooked and unseen. But the Father wants you to be seen and known.

Our Next Steps

1. Decide to have an extraordinary mind. Your mindset is a choice and can be changed at any moment. Use the force of your imagination to change your mindset.
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus…” - Philippians 2:5

2. Challenge yourself daily to go above and beyond. If you read 10 pages today, read 5 more tomorrow. If you helped 2 people today, help 5 more tomorrow. You get the point?
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” - 1 Corinthians 15:10 NKJV

3. Never see anything as too hard to accomplish. Remind yourself, if you learned to read and write, you can learn anything.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13

We are in an incredible moment. We have the advantages of time and knowledge. May the Lord continue to give you wisdom and strength for success. In Jesus name, Amen!
