They’ll Never Forget You
I have good news for you! You will never be forgotten. You will be in what the Bible calls “everlasting remembrance” (Ps. 112:6). This indicates that you have VALUE, VIRTUE and VOLUME! You’re a vast collection of experience and expertise. It doesn’t matter where you’re at in life, there’s something amazing in you and something substantial about you. You have so much to offer!
Don’t Bury Your Potential
Moses offered a lot as a deliverer and leader of God’s people. He had value, virtue and volume. It’s been thousands of years since he’s died and we’re still talking about him. Why? Because he did something that was significant and historic. Moses ran with destiny and walked in God’s plan and purpose for his life. I’m confident that you’re going to do the same.
You’re not going to wither on the vine of nothingness. You’re not going to go to the grave with your potential buried inside of you. You’re going to rise up big on the inside and do massive things for God. You’re going to live your dream life and make huge contributions of your time, talent and treasure to this world. I’ve said it before and I’ll said it again, you’re not a wandering generality, but a meaningful specific. You’re a world changer and history maker.
Making Yourself Unforgettable
So, here’s some things you can actually do to make yourself unforgettable:
1. Live your destiny, not your fantasy.
Everyone we know in the Bible and in this life who’s lived their destiny has never been forgotten. You can see these people in what is known as the “hall of faith” chapter in Hebrews 11. These are recordings of those who did great things for God by faith. From Noah to Abraham. From Sarah to Moses. From David to Daniel. Simply stated, these people lived remarkable lives that will never be erased.
2. Hone your skills in your field.
There’s a reason why we love Denzel Washington. There’s a reason he’s been nominated nine times for an Oscar and won twice. He’s a great actor, producer and director. His skills are top notch. Did you know that he was trained at Fordham University and graduated with a bachelors degree in drama and journalism? He also attended the graduate school at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco for one year before he returned to New York to begin his professional acting career.
If you want to be considered one of the greats in your field like Denzel Washington, you’ll have to hone your skills within that field. Being unforgettable is not child’s play, but with dedication to your craft and calling, you’ll do extremely well.
3. Be a Financial Hero.
Denzel Washington hasn’t stopped at honing his skills in his field. He’s unforgettable because of his generosity. He was and is a financial hero. For example, one year he gave $2.5 million dollars to his church, West Los Angeles Church of God in Christ, to help build their new facility. His pastor, Bishop Blake has said, “Whenever there was a need Mr. Denzel Washington was always overjoyed to respond with generosity…unprecedented generosity to the life of our church.”
He’s also given to the Boys & Girls Club of America, $1 million to Nelson Mandela’s Children Fund, $1 million to Wiley College, $2 million to his alma mater Fordham University and just this past August $100,000 to an outreach program at his former church in NYC - Kelly’s Temple COGIC.
