You Are Ready For More Pt. 2
I love the title of Lisa Osteen Comes (Joel’s Osteen’s sister) book, “You Are Made for More!” I believe it’s one of the reasons why you’re ready for more. You were not designed by God to live in constant preparation for the future. No, you were created by your Father to simply BE and live a “cut above the rest” kind of life…RIGHT NOW!
I’m going to give you a few points that will inspire you to believe in God’s exceptional design of you and take your beautiful life to the next level:
1. You are ready for the MOMENT.
NBA Champion Stephen Curry has said, “I've never been afraid of big moments. I get butterflies. I get nervous and anxious, but I think those are all good signs that I'm ready for the moment.” I want you to be like Stephen Curry and believe that you’re ready for the moment. Whatever season of life you’re currently in, you are prepared to handle it. You have the brains and brawn to make things happen. You have the creativity to bring fresh new ideas to the table. Don’t sell yourself short! Take courage and take whatever you’re doing to the next level.
2. You are ready for MORE OPPORTUNITIES.
Opportunities are always coming your way. Sometimes you’ve taken them, sometimes you’ve let them pass you by. In this season of your life, I encourage you to take the opportunities that are presented before you. Don’t let them pass you by.
Comedian Jim Carrey once said, “Life opens up opportunities to you, and you either take them or you stay afraid of taking them." No truer words! If you want to advance, throw fear to the curb and go for whatever it is that God has ordained for you to go for. Isn’t it time you actually LIVED God’s big plan for your life and take advantage of the opportunities that come your way?
3. You are ready for MAJOR LEAPS FORWARD.
Come on, you know it and I know it! It’s time to leap! It’s time to take major leaps forward! I believe in you. More important than that, God believes in you. Now it’s time for YOU to believe in yourself.
Why do some people fail to take major leaps forward in their lifetime? For some, it’s a lack of faith and for others it’s a lack of forward thinking. You’ve got to believe in yourself and in a better tomorrow. You’ve got to believe that God has your back and will give you “…the future you hope for” (Jer. 29:11, MSG).
Iconic comedian, actor and producer Jim Carrey is a great example of someone who recognized he was ready for more and took a major leap forward when he was 16 and living in Canada with his family. He left school and dived into his comedic career. He says that if things didn’t pan out he’d probably be working at a steel mill in Canada. But it did work out for him. Here’s the good news, if taking a major leap forward worked for Jim Carrey why wouldn’t it work for a blood-bought child of God? The truth is, it would! Today, Jim Carrey is a Gold Globe winner and Grammy nominated celebrity who’s had an incredible career and is worth $180 million dollars. All because he believed he was ready and took major leaps forward.
Everyone’s major leap forward is different based on God’s plan and purpose for their individual lives. You have to find out your why and take major leaps forward in THAT direction. The result? Your heart will leap for joy and you’ll live a pleasant and powerful life.
